Dado que los pl\u00e1sticos y compuestos son sensibles a la velocidad de deformaci\u00f3n, la misma energ\u00eda de impacto aplicada con distintas combinaciones de masa y velocidad puede producir comportamientos de fallo diferentes. Al a\u00f1adir sensores de fuerza y velocidad en el punto de impacto, el sistema puede capturar todo el historial de fuerza-tiempo y desplazamiento durante todo el evento, no solo su resultado. Los compuestos pueden fallar internamente, delaminaci\u00f3n, grietas en la matriz, rotura de fibras, sin mostrar ning\u00fan da\u00f1o visible en la superficie. Un ensayo pass\/fail lo registrar\u00eda como aprobado. Un ensayo instrumentado, al capturar la curva de fuerza-desplazamiento, puede revelar la anomal\u00eda en la absorci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda que se\u00f1ala un da\u00f1o interno, incluso cuando no hay nada visible en el exterior.<\/p>\n<p>Este es el mismo razonamiento que ha llevado al ensayo instrumentado a convertirse en pr\u00e1ctica est\u00e1ndar en sectores como el automotriz y el
