Une courbe S-N est g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e en testant les \u00e9chantillons avec une charge\/contrainte constante et en enregistrant le nombre de cycles jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la rupture. Les donn\u00e9es sont ensuite compil\u00e9es et une meilleure adaptation \u00e0 la tendance est appliqu\u00e9e. Cela permet d&rsquo;\u00e9tablir une relation entre un niveau de charge\/contrainte particulier et la dur\u00e9e de vie en fatigue du mat\u00e9riau.<\/p>\n<p>Lors d&rsquo;un test HCF, les \u00e9chantillons sont soumis \u00e0 des fr\u00e9quences comprises entre 20 Hz et 100 Hz, en fonction des types de mat\u00e9riaux et des conditions environnementales. L&rsquo;essai se poursuit jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la rupture de l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon ou jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;un nombre pr\u00e9d\u00e9termin\u00e9 de cycles soit
