A differenza di una prova di trazione che separa un materiale, ASTM D790 utilizza un sistema di carico a tre punti che applica una forza di flessione al centro di un campione sostenuto in due punti. <\/p>\n<p>Questo metodo \u00e8 specificamente progettato per materiali rigidi e semirigidi che non si rompono entro un limite di deformazione del 5%.<\/p>\n<p>Sebbene venga spesso paragonata alla norma <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/step-lab.com\/it\/iso-it\/iso-178\/\">ISO 178<\/a><\/span>, la norma <strong>ASTM D790<\/strong> \u00e8 il riferimento principale per il mercato nordamericano e presenta alcune lievi differenze in termini di dimensioni dei campioni, requisiti relativi alla campata di supporto e velocit\u00e0 di prova.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cosa_misura_la_norma_ASTM_D790\"><\/span>Cosa misura la norma ASTM D790?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Il test genera una <strong>curva carico-deformazione<\/strong>, che viene utilizzata per calcolare diversi valori meccanici critici: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Modulo di flessione<\/strong>: misura della rigidit\u00e0 del materiale o della sua capacit\u00e0 di resistere alla flessione.
