Como pl\u00e1sticos e comp\u00f3sitos s\u00e3o sens\u00edveis \u00e0 taxa de deforma\u00e7\u00e3o, a mesma energia de impacto aplicada com diferentes combina\u00e7\u00f5es de massa e velocidade pode produzir comportamentos de falha diferentes. Um peso \u00e9 deixado cair de uma altura definida e o resultado \u00e9 registrado como rompido ou n\u00e3o rompido. \u00c9 r\u00e1pido, simples e adequado para controles de conformidade rotineiros, nos quais basta um resultado simples de aprovado\/reprovado.<\/li>\n<li><strong>O ensaio instrumentado<\/strong> vai al\u00e9m. Ao adicionar sensores de for\u00e7a e velocidade no ponto de impacto, o sistema pode capturar todo o hist\u00f3rico de for\u00e7a-tempo e deslocamento durante o evento completo, n\u00e3o apenas seu resultado. Em vez de um \u00fanico n\u00famero, voc\u00ea obt\u00e9m uma curva completa que mostra como a carga se acumulou, quanta energia foi absorvida e em que momento a falha come\u00e7ou.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Por_que_essa_diferenca_importa_na_pratica\"><\/span>Por que essa diferen\u00e7a importa na pr\u00e1tica<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Tomemos como exemplo um painel comp\u00f3sito submetido a um impacto. Comp\u00f3sitos podem falhar internamente, por delamina\u00e7\u00e3o, trincas na matriz ou ruptura de fibras, sem mostrar nenhum dano vis\u00edvel na superf\u00edcie. Um ensaio aprovado\/reprovado registraria o painel como aprovado.
